Street shoes, table legs and spilt drinks damage every sports floor. BÜTEC lays a protective layer of loose 2 m² tiles over it. Where people dance, it adds a dance floor of panels that simply plug together. Neither needs adhesive or screws, and after the event both go back to storage on a trolley.

The situation
When the sports hall becomes a ballroom the floor suffers first
The sports floor shows the marks
Street shoes, tables, chairs, drinks: after a graduation ball or a town festival, scratches and stains remain. And on Monday it is school sport again.
Carpet rolls are heavy
Long rolls of carpet need many hands. If one length gets dirty or wet, the whole length has to come out.
Adhesive leaves residue
Whatever is glued or taped down must come off the hall floor again. Residue and scuff marks stay behind.
There is no dance floor
The gala needs a dance floor. The afternoon before, only a few helpers are there, and nobody wants to spend hours on their knees with a screwdriver.
Both BÜTEC floors solve this with the same principle: small, handy pieces that lie without tools and are stored on trolleys.
How it works
No screws, no adhesive How the hall floor changes
Floor protection: loose tiles
Tiles of 2 × 1 m are laid edge to edge. Their own weight and the non-slip backing keep them in place, with no adhesive. A dirty tile is replaced on its own.
Dance floor: tongue and nose
Each panel is stood upright with its nose in the profile of the next panel, then laid down. Now it is connected – without screws, hooks or tools, and nobody has to kneel.
Brick bond
Every second row starts with a half panel. So four corners never meet at one point, and the rows hold each other in place.
Everything on trolleys
One trolley holds 280 m² of floor protection or up to 50 dance floor panels. The floors roll into the hall and back out; there is little to carry.

What venue managers ask about mobile floors
How quickly is a dance floor laid?
100 m² are laid and ready in about 30 minutes. The panels plug together without tools and without kneeling, and they come up just as quickly.
Parquet or laminate?
The parquet dance floor is real wood and feels right to dancers – made for gala and competition. The dance & multi-purpose floor with laminate wears less than real wood, takes a forklift with a chipboard base and, with film-faced plywood, also goes outdoors.
Where are the floors stored?
On transport trolleys. A floor protection trolley stands on 1.02 × 2.03 m and holds about 140 tiles, which is 280 m². For the dance floor panels there are trolleys for up to 50 panels, stored flat or upright.
What fire rating does the floor protection have?
Protect and Protect Strong meet fire rating Bfl-s1 to EN 13501-1. They are also antistatic and reduce impact sound.
Does the floor protection leave marks on the sports floor?
No. The backing is environmentally friendly and colour-neutral. It leaves no marks or scuff lines when it is taken up. No adhesive is used.
