These aluminium tracks carry more than curtains. Two runways guide the curtain runners, and slot channels on the sides take lights, scenery and accessories. So a room becomes a stage, a darkened auditorium or two separate areas – straight or curved, on ceiling, wall or truss, moved by hand or by motor.

Stage and theatre
Main and back curtain, wings and scenery – also as part of a mobile stage cabinet.
Blackout
Close off windows and doors when a projector or stage lighting needs darkness. The slim Studio Economy is often enough for this.
Room division
Divide large rooms into areas, for example a school canteen by class. With the Studio track, also in curves and waves.
Sound absorption
With the right fabrics, the curtain becomes an acoustic element and calms rooms that echo.

How it works
Rope pull, motor, suspension How the curtain moves
By hand
With a rope pull, tension pulley, floor tension pulley and counterweight. Runner carriages and drivers guide the curtain, and end pulleys turn the rope.
By motor
A motor with a drum for the pull rope, a control unit and a connection cable. It sits on the wall above or below the track, or directly at the end of the track.
Suspended
Steel hangers, telescopic aluminium hangers or clamps on trusses. For ceilings with more than 2 m of drop, BÜTEC has developed height-adjustable hangers that do not swing.
Curved or mobile
The tracks are bent to size. With the BÜTEC truss system they also form mobile constructions without a fixed location, for example for trade fairs.

Questions about the curtain tracks
Studio or Studio Economy: which do I need?
For large spans, heavy stage curtains and when lights or scenery should hang on the track too, choose Studio (up to 6 m free span, six slot channels). For window blackout, door covers and small stages, Studio Economy is enough (up to 3 m free span).
Can the tracks be curved?
Yes, bent to size. In a school canteen the Studio track was bent exactly at the points the architects specified. Wave-shaped runs for trade fairs and booths are also possible.
Our ceiling is very high. Is that possible?
Yes. For drops of more than 2 m, BÜTEC has developed and built height-adjustable ceiling hangers that do not swing, and matching wall brackets.
Is it possible without a fixed ceiling?
Yes. Combined with the BÜTEC truss system, track runs are built as a mobile construction that is not tied to one place.
By hand or by motor?
Both work with both tracks: by hand with a rope pull, tension pulley, floor tension pulley and counterweight, or by motor with rope drum and control unit. The choice depends on budget and how often the curtain is used.
