Assembly halls, sports halls and community halls rarely have a proscenium, curtains or hoists. BÜTEC brings them in: a stage cabinet on platforms, curtains and tracks, hoists for lights and trusses, acoustic elements. Planned, made and installed by the same manufacturer, with one contact person from the floor plan to the first night.

The situation
When the assembly hall should be a theatre a stage floor is not enough
No frame
Platforms alone are a floor, not a stage. Without a proscenium, curtains and borders, the audience looks at the hall wall and the door of the equipment room.
Work at height
Hanging curtains and spotlights up high means ladders, scaffolding and a risk for your team – at every changeover.
No budget for everything at once
Buying all the equipment in one budget year is rarely possible. Pieces from different suppliers often do not fit together later.
Forgotten in the planning
In a new building, niches for chain hoists, parking positions for curtain tracks or pits for stage platforms are often missing. Adding them later is expensive.
That is why BÜTEC plans frame, fabrics, hoists and acoustics as one system that builds on the same platforms and profiles. You can start small and extend later.
How it works
Assemble on the floor, perform up high What turns platforms into a real stage
Stage cabinet, tracks and hoists use the same aluminium profiles. Your team assembles everything on the floor; then it all goes up.
Stage cabinet
Posts, beams, curtains and skirting on platforms. Curtains and lights are fixed at eye level and then raised by crank or motor.
Curtain tracks
The Studio track spans up to 6 m without support. Six slot channels take lights and backdrops, straight or bent to size.
Fabrics
Stage velour, molton or plain fabrics, flame-retardant to DIN 4102 B1; permanently flame-retardant Trevira CS on request.
Hoists, lighting, acoustics
Chain and rope hoists move trusses and spotlights. Lighting and sound arrive with all cables, and acoustic towers move into position.

Questions
What venue managers ask about stage technology
Can we start small?
Yes. The stage cabinet is modular: buy it complete now or piece by piece, and extend it when your needs grow. On the fabrics, molton for the back curtain and less fullness in the wing curtains save money.
When should we involve BÜTEC in a new building?
In the planning phase. Then niches and recesses for the parking positions of chain hoists and curtain tracks, maintenance shafts and pits for built-in platforms can be included from the start, in line with the safety rules and regulations for your venue.
What fire rating do the fabrics have?
All stage fabrics are flame-retardant to DIN 4102, class B1. On request we supply permanently flame-retardant fabrics made of Trevira CS.
Does the cabinet fit our platforms?
We recommend BÜTEC scissor platforms Scissor 100 and Scissor 1000 and the plug-in leg platforms Standard, Standard Plus, Compact, Eco and Flexible. Talk to us about the platforms you already have.
Who services the system later?
BÜTEC offers inspection and servicing by its own service technicians on site. More on our maintenance service.
