Stage & Lighting Hoists

With a hoist system, the load comes down to your team – not the other way round. Trusses, curtains and spotlights come down for setting up and then go back up, by hand or by motor. BÜTEC supplies flybars with battens as well as simple chain or rope hoists, depending on what your room and your programme need.

  • Work on the floor

    Focus spotlights, hang curtains, plug in cables: all at working height. Only then does the load go up.

  • By hand or by motor

    A manual rope winch for the occasional change, a motorised chain hoist for the truss rig that moves every week.

  • Parked out of sight

    A truss rig can move to a hidden parking position, with a cable basket that catches the cables.

    In the stage cabinet, a winch raises curtains and accessories after assembly, by crank or motor.

Which regulations is the system built to?

We plan every system in line with the safety rules and regulations that apply to your room. Tell us how the room is used, and we clarify the requirements with you.

Manual or motorised?

That depends on the load, the travel and how often it moves. For occasional changes a manual rope winch is often enough; a truss rig with many lights is usually motorised.

What does BÜTEC need for a quote?

Your concrete requirements: what should move, room dimensions and ceiling height, possible suspension points and how often you change over. Photos or a floor plan help.

We are building new. When should we ask?

In the planning phase. Then niches for parking positions, recesses and maintenance shafts can be planned in from the start instead of added later.
