Only a few hours between sport and doors open
School sport runs until midday, the audience arrives in the afternoon. In between, the grandstand must be ready – and in the evening it must be gone again.
Every row needs hands
Place single platforms, lock the plug-in legs, clamp everything together: with a grandstand built from loose parts, the crew grows with every row.
The equipment room is already full
After the event the hall needs its floor back. The grandstand has to disappear into the smallest possible space.

How it works

All BÜTEC grandstands stand on the same tested platform systems as our stages. What makes them different is how they get into position.
Push'n Pull: pull out, don't build
Lift the lowest platform with the pull-out bar and pull it forward – all other rows follow and lock into place. Blocks side by side are locked from above with Quick-Lock, without any connecting clamps.
Applause: seating at the push of a button
The grandstand trailer travels to the venue on its own axles. An electro-hydraulic system opens the covered grandstand, and one person positions and secures it.
Mobile grandstand from platforms
Standing or seated grandstand in any shape, built from BÜTEC Standard or Compact platforms. Seats, benches and railings are fixed to the compact corner with standard screws – no drilling.
Stationary: the flat floor becomes a grandstand
Permanently installed Servo Stage platforms are adjusted from above. A 20 cm floor pit is enough for four levels in 20 cm steps.

How many people do we need to set up the grandstand?
With the Push'n Pull, one person pulls a block out in five minutes and pushes it back in. The Applause grandstand trailer is also opened by one person, in ten minutes. For mobile grandstands built from single platforms, the effort depends on size and shape – we plan the grandstand with you.
Do the grandstands need a power supply?
No. The Push'n Pull is pulled out by hand, so it needs no power and has no energy costs. Mobile, stationary and choir grandstands also work without power. Only the grandstand trailer uses an electro-hydraulic system.
Are the grandstands tested?
The Standard and Compact platform systems carry 750 kg/m² and are TÜV GS-tested with a 1.7 safety factor. The Push'n Pull comes with structural calculations to Eurocode 9 and DIN. For complete installations there are TÜV inspection books for grandstands indoors and outdoors. Which documents your authority requires depends on your local building and venue regulations – we agree the documents with you.
Where do we store the grandstand?
A retracted Push'n Pull block stands on 1.25 × 2 m – that is 40 seats with 10 rows. BÜTEC platforms for mobile grandstands stack at approx. 95 mm per platform. Stationary Servo Stage grandstands need no storage at all: they lie flush in the floor.
Our room has columns, curves or is a listed building.
Then a custom grandstand is the right choice. In a listed gasworks we built a two-level grandstand with no anchoring and no intervention in the building – free-standing on steel columns and trusses.
Which seats are possible?
Seat shells, stacking chairs, benches or theatre chairs – or no seats at all, and the grandstand becomes a standing terrace. See the overview of seating options.
Can we extend the grandstand later?
Yes. You can add Push'n Pull blocks one by one, and mobile grandstands built from platforms can take more elements at any time.
