Trusses F22 to F44 Know what it carries at your span – before you rig
Lighting rig in a hall, trade fair stand or stage roof: each of the 13 BÜTEC truss types has its own data sheet with a load table for spans from 2 to 14 m. One cone connection runs through the whole system, accessories match each size class, and structural calculations for your construction are available.

Before you rig
Weighing the load is easy – proving the truss is not
You know the load, not the limit
Spotlights, speakers, a screen: what hangs on the truss can be weighed. What the truss may carry at your span is only in the load table for that exact type.
Inspectors want paper
Inspectors and venue operators ask what your construction is based on. An estimate or an old catalogue value does not answer that question.
Material from three systems
Trusses, connectors and clamps from different years and makers: every improvised joint costs set-up time and weakens safety.
That is why every BÜTEC truss comes with its own data sheet and load table – and with accessories that match its size class.
The system
Joined with cone connectors, proven with a load table
BÜTEC trusses are welded aluminium lattice girders. The segments are joined with conical connectors; bolted connections are also available. They are designed and made in Mettmann, Germany.
One connection for the system
Conical connectors, truss pins and spring cotters exist for each size class (F2x, F3x, F4x). According to the BÜTEC catalogue, systems with conical euro connectors are compatible with various systems from other manufacturers.
One load table for each type
Each data sheet gives, for spans between 2 and 14 m, the permitted uniformly distributed load, the centre point load and the third-point load, each with its deflection.
Calculations when it gets bigger
Structural calculations are available for towers, roofs and frames. The trusses are tested to Eurocode 9.
Shapes from our own welding shop
Segments from 0.25 to 5 m, corners from 45° to 135°, circles from 2 to 12 m – and special lengths from the certified aluminium welding department.

Outer sizes as stated in the data sheets (rounded: 220, 290 and 400 mm). “Table for” = span range covered by the load table. Alloy F2x: EN AW 6060 T66; F3x and F4x: EN AW 6082 T6. Always take the permitted loads from the data sheet of the specific type.

In a school assembly hall, 4-point trusses carry a stage cabinet with side curtains and a studio track. With motorised chain hoists a rig can be moved and parked out of sight.

Stage roof and outdoor stage
From 3- and 4-point trusses BÜTEC builds gable, pent and arched roofs, with a hoist on request so the roof can be assembled at working height.

Questions about BÜTEC trusses
Where do I find the permitted loads of a truss?
In the data sheet of each type – on every product page and collected under Service › Downloads › Truss load tables. For each span, the tables give the permitted uniformly distributed load, the centre point load and the third-point load, each with deflection. The HD versions have their own data sheets.
Will BÜTEC trusses fit the material we already have?
The trusses are joined with a conical euro connection. According to the BÜTEC catalogue, systems with this connection are compatible with various systems from other manufacturers; bolted connections are also available. Tell us the maker and type of your stock and we will check the fit.
Can we get structural calculations for our construction?
Yes, structural calculations are available for BÜTEC trusses, and the trusses are tested to Eurocode 9. Send us the layout, spans and loads, and we will clarify which documents we can supply for your construction.
Are special lengths, curves and colours available?
Yes. Besides the standard lengths, our own certified aluminium welding department makes special lengths and shapes. F23, F33, F34, F43 and F44 are available as circles from 2 to 12 m. All trusses can be powder-coated in RAL colours on request.
Will we still get spare parts in a few years?
BÜTEC supplies spare parts long-term for platforms, trusses and other products. Connectors, spacers and clamps are available for each size class.
