Every changeover in the hall costs hours, helpers and backs

Monday school sports, Wednesday council meeting, Friday concert, Saturday graduation ball. In between, the same work every time.

  1. The stage lives in the basement

    Stage sets are carried up, built, taken down and carried back several times a week. That is how it worked at the Volkshaus Jena – until the refurbishment.

  2. One platform at a time

    For seating built from single platforms, every element is placed, every leg locked, every joint clamped. Often by temporary helpers who do not do it every week.

  3. The responsibility stays with you

    Whatever is improvised under time pressure still has to satisfy the venue regulations, the inspection book and the inspector.

  4. The hall floor pays too

    After a street festival or a gala, outdoor shoes, tables and spilled drinks leave their marks on the sports floor.

More helpers do not solve this. Mechanics that replace carrying do.

The system

Mechanics, not muscle How a few hands change over the whole hall

Almost every BÜTEC stage and grandstand is built on the same tested 2 × 1 m stage platforms. The difference is what sits underneath: scissors, gas springs, telescopic frames, rolling chassis or motors do the work your team used to carry.

  • A stage in the floor

    Servo Stage sits flush in the hall floor. Unlocked from above with a key, it is lifted by hand while gas springs carry the weight – no power needed. Floor pit: approx. 20 cm.

  • Stage sets at the push of a button

    Solodrive One raises platforms to any height. Scenes are saved and recalled on a touch panel – at the Volkshaus Jena this replaces the trips to the basement.

  • Seating that pulls out

    With Push'n Pull, one person pulls out a block with 10 rows and 2 m height in 5 minutes – without power. Retracted, it needs 1.25 × 2 m.

  • Legs already built in

    Scissor platforms fold open and lock at fixed heights from 20 to 100 cm. No loose legs that go missing in storage.

  • A stage on wheels

    On the Rolltec chassis, 4–6 people move a 100 m² stage. After the season it becomes a storage trolley for 9 platforms.

  • A floor without tools

    100 m² of dance floor goes down in around 30 minutes, without screws and without kneeling. Floor protection for the sports hall: 280 m² on one trolley.

One contact From planning the floor pit to servicing on site

  1. Advice

    You describe the room, its uses and your team. We propose the system. If you already have a quote, our Quote Check reviews it: calculation, forgotten and unnecessary accessories.

  2. Planning and structural design

    Ideally during construction: pits for Servo and motor platforms, recesses for chain hoists and curtain rails, maintenance shafts. Our own CAD design team; structural calculations and inspection book where the system needs them.

  3. Production

    Over 10,000 m² of production in Mettmann, Germany, a certified aluminium welding department, CNC machining up to 6 m length. Special sizes are made in the same factory as the series.

  4. Installation and acceptance

    Our team installs on site. An expert inspector and a structural engineer carry out the acceptance in house – which makes the process simpler, as at the Volkshaus Jena.

  5. Servicing

    Our own technicians come in a service vehicle with the most common spare parts on board. Parts are available even for platforms made before 1995.

Can BÜTEC platforms be used in a public assembly venue?

The platforms are designed for 750 kg/m², tested with a 1.7 safety factor, and the core series are TÜV GS-tested; production is monitored regularly. For complete systems – stages over 75 m², indoor and outdoor grandstands, roofs – we supply structural calculations and an inspection book. Which certificates your local building and venue regulations require, we clarify with you and your inspector.

How many people do I need for a changeover?

That depends on the system. One person pulls out a Push'n Pull grandstand block in 5 minutes. Servo Stage is lifted from above after unlocking it with a key. 4–6 people move a 100 m² stage on wheels. 100 m² of dance floor goes down in around 30 minutes.

We have hardly any storage space. What then?

Built-in systems need no storage at all: Servo Stage sits flush in the floor in a pit of approx. 20 cm, and Solodrive One is also installed flush with the floor. A retracted Push'n Pull block stands on 1.25 × 2 m. Plug-in leg platforms stack flat, with legs and clamps stored inside.

Will new platforms fit the ones we already have?

Often, yes. Eco platforms connect to almost any other make of stage without special clamps. Compact is fully compatible with Standard. And for older BÜTEC platforms, spare parts are available even for models made before 1995.

Our tender has to be product-neutral. Can you still help?

Yes – as a planning partner from the construction phase. We advise where pits, recesses and shafts belong, and supply technical data and data sheets. If you already have a quote, our [Quote Check](/en/service/quote-check) reviews it.

Who services the system after installation?

Our own technicians. They come to you in a service vehicle with the most common spare parts on board. Motor platforms such as Solodrive One are serviced once a year.
