BÜTEC roofs protect stages, grandstands, front-of-house positions and stands from rain and sun – as a wave, arched, gable or pent roof, as a compact small stage roof or as a custom build. Every shape is built on the same aluminium truss system and comes with documents: up to 5 m high with proof of stability, from 5 m with an inspection book.

Rain on the equipment
One shower is enough, and lighting, sound and instruments must be brought to safety. The event stops or is cancelled.

A roof that has to be assembled overhead needs a lifting platform, time and people who are prepared to work up there.
The question of documents
The local authority, the building inspector or the organiser want to know whether the roof is stable. Without documents, it gets difficult.
A BÜTEC roof can be assembled on the ground and raised, comes with documents and stands over your stage – or free-standing as protection from rain and sun.
How it works
Different shapes, one system Every roof is built on BÜTEC trusses
Wave, arched, gable and pent roofs look different, but they are one modular aluminium system. The support structures are designed to the requirements of DIN 4112 or DIN EN 13814 and DIN 1055.
Assembly at working height
In the version with hoist, the roof beams sit on sleeve blocks on the towers. The roof is assembled at the bottom and then raised with hand winches, chain hoists or motors.
Held securely
The towers are ballasted – with water tanks or on precast concrete elements – or anchored in the ground with impact dowels.
Tarpaulins that think ahead
PVC or gauze tarpaulins in RAL colours. Side tarpaulins run in rails and can be opened quickly when the wind gets stronger. Doors with zips, flame-retardant to B1 on request.
Delivered with documents
Up to 5 m high with proof of stability, from 5 m high with a TÜV inspection book.

What documents come with the roof?
We deliver roofs up to 5 m high with proof of stability, and from 5 m high with a TÜV inspection book. Whether your event needs a permit beyond that depends on location, size and how long the roof stands – you clarify this with the responsible authority, and we supply the documents.
How large are the roofs?
All roof shapes are available in different sizes. We define the span and depth for your stage. Fixed standard sizes exist for the Starlight small stage roof (3 × 2, 4 × 3 and 5 × 4 m) and the Stage Globe (Ø 3, 4 and 5 m).
What happens when it gets windy?
The towers are ballasted or anchored. Side tarpaulins run in rails and can be opened quickly when the wind gets stronger. The operating limits are part of the documents for your roof.
Do I need a BÜTEC stage for it?
No. BÜTEC builds roofs to match its mobile platform stages, but also free-standing as protection from rain and sun, or as a temporary canopy at a building.
Can we hang lighting and sound from the roof?
Yes. On gable and pent roofs, the front crossbar is a 4-point truss with room for spotlights and speakers. The loads your roof can carry are stated in its documents.
